Tennessee Christmas

Well, at least one half of a TN Christmas!
The day after Christmas, we jumped in the car (which was packed to the max) and drove to Nashville/Dickson to spend some time with my family. So nice to get to see my brother's family since we don't see them too much (they live near Chicago). So fun. It was quite the whirlwind trip since we only stayed two nights, but it was a very good time. Sam did GREAT on the drive (both of them)...thank the Lord for that! Mom put together a great spread Saturday night...and Sunday! Thanks Mom for such a fun time...we all LOVE YOU so much! It's crazy...and loud, but we made lots of memories...and it's so fun to see my beautiful nieces and nephew! So thankful for my family! We came home Monday in time to get ready for NaNa and YaYa's visit to GA!
My mom's house is always so wonderful at Christmas! It's cozy and warm...smells delicious and just feels right...know what I mean?
Aunt SaySay and Sam played "superheroes" for a long time one night. He thought she was HILARIOUS! "Silly Say Say"...he kept saying.
This little lady was just a few months old last year during Christmas...and now she is a total HOOT! She is into everything and everywhere. Seems like someone was always asking..."where's Meg?"! Not sure if this was before or after she came down the stairs with the marker in her mouth...opened. OH DEAR! She is such a doll though.
Emma and Mar'a! Believe it or not...these 2 are not sisters. One is an Oliver...one is a Harris. They look so much a like though (I think) and are so beautiful (if you ask me). They had so much fun playing together. Emma cried b/c they had to leave...so sweet!
Kennedy and Liam before the present opening extravaganza commenced!
Aunt Say Say and Sam!
The peanut gallery...aka Ben and Chance. Just look at the smiles on their faces...you know they were up to no good. I think they sat there most of the time discussing the woes of being married to Harris girls! :) They are so lucky to have us...HA HA! :)
Emma and Mar'a opened their Snuggies...they were so excited. Hilarious!
Sam wreaking havoc on everyone's presents.
Liam opening the Cars laptop we gave him. I think he looks like Duff in this picture (minus the red hair of course). We drew names this year since we have a million kids/adults now to buy for. It was really nice...a bit weird not to get stuff for everyone (with the exception of mom...there are no rules for her...she is quite spoiled by all of us...which is as it should be), but I am learning to deal with it. Our kids don't need a ton of stuff...it is so much more important for us to be together. The kids might disagree with that, but someday they will appreciate it!
Mops gave Sam some Lightning McQueen slippers and he has yet to take them off. Well, not really, but he pretty much lives in them. They are too funny. One night I went into his room before bed...and he was sleeping in them. Hilarious! Thanks Mops...great job!
Sweet boy!
Little Miss Meg. Sam called her MeiMei the whole time. We call his other cousin (Ben's brother's little girl, who is half Chinese) MeiMei, which is Chinese for little girl/sister - hope I got that right Anita. It was really cute though. I guess she could be a MeiMei too!
Meg had to go to baby jail (aka the pack-n-play) for a little while so we could finish opening presents. Sam would start at the front door and race into the living room to see her. So funny. They cracked each other up. He had a lot of fun playing with her. I think he's going to be such a good big brother.
Meg became attached to Uncle Chance at one point...so cute.
The girls showing off their Snuggies (Emma, Kennedy, Mar'a and Grace). So funny.
Sam was performing (in his Cars slippers of course) for the girls...they were cracking up.
.Wonder what she is thinking?

Another great Harris Family Christmas! Can't wait until next year...anyone up for a trip to GA? Thanks Mops for such a GREAT...and magical (as always) Christmas!
