Happy Birthday Aunt Madge

This past weekend we drove to Nashville to celebrate my Great Aunt Madge's 80th party (officially on the 12th). Her daughter, Debbie, put together a fantastic party for her and everyone had a great time. We took family pictures and everything. Aunt Madge was my Granny Lo's sister and ever since she passed away, Aunt Madge and her late husband, Uncle Ralph basically had taken us in as their own! Aunt Madge is always so good to my brother, sister and I and especially to mom! We love her! She had a BIG time at her party and all her old friends from Pulaski and Waynesboro came. She was so excited and we were so happy for her.
We also got to hang out with my cousin's kids too. They are all getting to be so big! So fun!
Anywho...it was a good weekend and was so good to see everyone.

Aunt Madge and Sam
Benny, Debbie, Aunt Madge and my mom. Debbie and Benny are Aunt Madge and Uncle Ralph's kids and mom is their unofficially semi-adopted one! :) They take such good care of her! Thanks Debbie for a great party!

I had to put this picture in there b/c I think my mom looks HOT! Sorry mom, but I had to! She looks super skinny too! GO MOM!

This is Delaney, my cousin Brooke's little girl! I had to put her picture on here b/c she is so beautiful! Look at those blue eyes. She is a few months older than Sam and was walking all over the place. So sweet!

Sam and Mops playing at the hotel. We had enough Hilton points for a free weekend, so we had mom come up and stay with us! She lives only about 45 minutes from there, but was nice to be so close to the party and everything. Thanks for coming up and hanging out with us mom! We love hanging out with you!

Sam playing at the party! Debbie was very smart and had a room set aside at the party just for the kids!

Mom and Sam opening up a birthday present from Betty Lou. Thank you LuLu for the Little People...Sam loves them!

Monday morning we were supposed to have a baby shower for Jillina's baby, but Jillina is currently on county lockdown so she doesn't have this baby too soon, so we will have to reschedule! Chris, Rebecca and I ended up meeting for breakfast that morning. Sorry we couldn't do your shower, Jillina. We'll work something out...you just take care of that baby! Breakfast with Chris and Rebecca was quite fun. They left their babies at home (I am sad that I didn't get to see them but maybe next time) so Sam was enjoying flirting with them! Happy Late Birthday Rebecca!

We are in Atlanta starting our temporary housing (until we settle on a house down here). We are in a furnished apartment and it is actually pretty nice. I was a little worried, but Sam has a lot of room to crawl around and play, so that is good. I'll keep you all posted on the house hunt. We have a few that we like, but I am going to try to go in a few more this week just in case we are missing something. I am SOOOO ready to get somewhere and get settled. With Ben traveling so much down here, we have been in a state of limbo...and I am ready to be in a house with all our stuff and start this next chapter. It is really nice being here to fix dinner for Ben every night (who has eaten out for like the last 4 months while traveling)...plus it is so wonderful for all of us to be in the same place. YEAH! We'll be back and forth to Knoxville...since we do have our UT football season tickets. Last year we didn't go to any b/c of the new baby...so we are making a point this year to attend many more. GO VOLS!
