Fun times with Mops!

Having a snack at Mops' house!

Two weeks ago, Ben took off to Boston for business, so (me not wanting to stay home by myself) Sam and I packed up and took off for a 2 week long road trip to Dickson and Maryville! One of Ben's really good friends, Tony lives only a hour or so from the plant that he was in outside Boston, so since he had to stay back to back weeks, he just stayed with Tony over the weekend. They were able to make a trip to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame! Ben loved it. We missed him so much and are glad that our little family is back together again!
Anywho...back to our road trip. We got to Dickson Monday afternoon...Sam was SOOO excited to see his Mops (my mom). We played, ate ice cream at Maggie Moos (YUM), had lunch with Betty Lou (mom's best friend and a 2nd mother to us), visited mom at school, had a play date at the park in Nashville with my college girlfriends, mommy had a girls night out, visited with my Aunt Madge, went to church with Mops...and so on and so on! We had so much fun! It was so nice to just relax in the evenings and not have to worry about doing dishes, folding laundry and all the other things I didn't get done around the house that day. Once Sam went to bed, I was able to just visit with mom and enjoy spending time with her...which is high on my list of favorite things to do!
Aunt Madge, Mops and Sam at Aunt Madge's house in Franklin. After we visited with her, we walked to downtown Franklin to the festival that they had. It was really fun to just walk around and enjoy being outside! So nice!
Sam and Mops! I love that he is laughing in this picture. So hard to get him to take a picture these days and actually look at the camera! Love that face!
Sitting down at the street festival in Franklin and eating some DELICIOUS corn. YUM!
Play date with my college girlfriends, Chris Anne (Andrew and Campbell) and Cristie (and Lola) at the park in Nashville.
Sam and Andrew playing on the playground!
All the kiddos playing. Lola was just crawling all over...she is so cute and growing up so fast!
Trying to get two toddlers to go down the slide at the same time for a cute photo op...silly mommy!
I met up with some of my Lipscomb girls one night for dinner. Mom watched Sam so I could meet up with them and enjoy talking and catching up. Afterward, we took a trip over to see Rebecca's GORGEOUS new house (AMAZING). Can't wait for the housewarming party, Stevens! Ella Grace (Rebecca's little girl) was able to hang with the girls too! She is so adorable! I LOVE these girls so much and miss them like crazy! It is so fun to pick up right where we left off.
