They did an egg hunt at church after Easter service Sunday. Sam refused to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap even though he talked about him all morning long. Jack, of course, just went with the flow and sat right down. So funny.
We tried to let Jack hunt the eggs, but he was just content just sitting in the grass with about 3 eggs (one of which was full of M&MS which he discovered and enjoyed very much). It was so cute.
Happy Baby
I think I've learned a valuable lesson (finally)...on special occasions where the obligatory, dressed up, family picture is totally necessary...take pictures BEFORE church when the children are actually dressed, tucked in, etc, etc. After church pictures result in half of wardrobe in tact...and tired, hungry kids. Clearly, I didn't learn this one until after Easter this year. Planning on doing better next time. Ha! Who knew...oh my...being a parent is too funny sometimes, huh? Sam hunting his eggs.
Not looking at the camera today...
Family shot...at least everyone is looking at the camera. Poor Jack and his big bump on his head.
Girls/Mommy table is set and ready for friends!
Guys table...ready (they are such good sports...sitting at the flowery tablecloth table. :)
Izzy and Jack hanging out in the kitchen while the mommy's are getting the food ready.
BFF - Alayna and Sam...decorating cupcakes. Sam is making this face b/c you can see that he turned his cupcake over...tragedy in the eyes of a 3.5 yr old.
All the kids waiting for us to get the egg hunt ready. They were so cute. Sam looks thrilled. Jack and Izzy slept all day like Super Baby Sleep Champions!
READY...
Jackson and Tucker hard at work.
Some of the eggs had girly stuff and some boys stuff, so the kids began to barter and trade with each other once they opened the eggs. It was so funny.
Philip liked playing with the big kids.
Checking out the stash.
Highlight of the day...throwing rocks in the little creeky water thing (this is actually a run off for the 100 yr rain pond, but it is actually really cool (now that Sam is bigger). Ben and Todd set out some sticks that the kids couldn't pass...they were having so much fun.
Who needs fancy toys, swing sets when you have rocks to throw. Boyssss.... Sam was so proud of himself
Big throw
Philip being adorable. This baby looks like this all the time...so happy.
