1st Time Bowling and PuttPutt

Friday night we had Hazlewood Family Fun Night (ha...we are so cheesy...and yes, it slightly resembled a Griswald Family Fun Night). We wanted to just do stuff we knew Sam would LOVE, so we took him bowling for the first time...and then to play putt-putt. We almost felt like we were at the beach since that's the only place we ever have gone putt-putt-ing. Sam LOVED LOVED LOVED it! He bowls on the Wii a lot and he had So much fun bowling. Ben and I played a round with him, then we just let him play all of our turns. He was so happy. Still need to work on the form a bit. He pretty much just chucked the ball down the lane like a baseball. I was convinced the whole time that he would drop one on his foot and break a toe or something (yes...I always think of crazy scenarios when it comes to my kids).
After bowling (and a pretty large melt down b/c we had to leave), we took Sam tot his really cute mini-golf place nearby. He loved that too...probably because he just picked the ball up and put it wherever he wanted to (right next to the hole) and hit it in. Still pretty accurate though. This kid is a natural athlete.

We topped Family Fun Night off with actually going out to dinner (something we never do anymore). We had such a great time, just spending time together. Not caring about what all we had to do, where we had to go, etc, etc. We have got to do this more often. I LOVE my family!

So happy that he is actually posing for me.
This was the nicest bowling alley ever...so clean and didn't smell like 30 year old cigarettes. Quite a difference than the old place we used to go to in high school.
He didn't care if he hit any pins or not...just happy to be playing.

Can't wait for the next installment of Hazlewood Family Fun Night with my 3 favorite guys!
