Catch Up

Okay...sorry it has been so long. Sam is doing better. Ben was out of town last week in Atlanta, so he is home now and it is SOOO nice to have him here. Having a baby with RSV and being by yourself is not fun...very scary. I must send a major THANK YOU to Mom and Dad Hazlewood for all of their help. They gave up their week to watch Sam during the days while I was at work. Plus, we spent the night over there Monday and Tuesday. I was scared to be alone with Sam and not know what to look for in case he were to get in trouble breathing, etc...so it was quite nice to have such a great ER nurse grandma on hand...and grandpa too! We are so lucky to live so close to them. Thanks NaNa and YaYa...we couldn't make it without you guys! Thanks for letting Sam drool, poop and cough all over you this week! :)

This is Sam's RSV face. He is the happiest baby all of the time...RSV or not! The nurses at the doctor's office kept talking about what a great disposition he has! Such a sweet boy! He is reaching his hands out to me. That is his thing. Whenever anyone gets close to him, he reaches his hands out to touch your face...or pull your hair and glasses...whichever he can reach! :)

Other than the excitement of this week, we have had a busy few weeks. Unfortunately, Ben's grandfather Baldwin (Mom Hazlewood's dad) passed away a few weeks ago. We were very sad to lose such an amazing man...dad...husband...grandfather...great-grandfather...artist! Sam did get to meet Granddaddy Baldwin in October, so that was good. Here is a picture of NaNa, Sam and Granddaddy Baldwin! He will be missed!

We spent a pretty quick weekend in Nashville a couple weeks ago to see mom and got to make a couple of quick stops to see my girls...and their new babies! Sorry we didn't get to see everyone, but we had to cut our weekend short...next time though! We had lunch with Chris, Campbell and Andrew at Puffy Muffin...yum! Andrew slept the whole time and Campbell is just beaming with smiles and personality! So fun. Then we stopped to see Diego, Rebecca and Miss Ella Grace! Such a precious little girl! She is so little and sweet! We also were able to have breakfast with Bethany, Whitney, Lindsay, Rebecca and Chris. They hadn't met Sam yet, so it was fun for him to meet all of my girls! Thanks Mops for letting us stay and invade your house with all of our plastic stuff!

Here is Sam and sweet little Andrew Sciortino! Sam was ready to get out of his seat if you can't tell.

Campbell Sciortino...such a good boy! Don't you just love that smile!

Sam and Ella Grace. He is just chillin...leaning on her boppy! Rebecca, do you believe in arranged marriages? We would be the most fun in-laws! Who knows!

Me, Sam, Rebecca and Ella Grace. Sam looks huge compared to Ella Grace! Rebecca is doing great in her new position as mommy! Maybe someday soon she will start her blog too! Heehee! :)

My friend, Mandy came over a few Saturdays ago to help me paint my kitchen. It looks SOOOOO much better. I love it. It is just so nice and warm and cozy now. Mandy took the high stuff and I got the low. She is so good...she even brings her own trim brush. :) Thanks Mandy..this one was much easier that the 6 red coats in the dining room! You are the best!

Mandy...my painter friend. She is so good! Thanks again!

One last thing...we started Sam on rice cereal this past weekend. He did great. He does get a lot of it on his bib but actually eats quite a bit! Such a big boy!
